The Shadow that Follows You - Trauma

It’s with you all the time. Even when you think you’re alone, you turn to see your trauma beside you, waiting to engulf you again. Sometimes, the repercussions of a traumatic event can be as bad as the event itself. You might find yourself acting out, feeling 'frozen' or 'numb', paralysed with fear, blinded by rage, experiencing flashbacks or unable to trust anyone anymore. Sometimes it’s more subtle – but you know things aren’t right. Some of us don’t even realise we have been through trauma. Trauma is something that happens to other people.
